Camping in Ventura County

Ventura County has a lot to offer when it comes to camping and site seeing. From the Pacific Ocean to Lake Casitas and Lake Piru then onto Los Padres National Forest there is just about any kind of camping and vacationing idea imaginable. Plus there are many days trips and scenic drives to places like Ojai, Santa Paula and Ventura with our Historic Downtown area and the Channel Islands National Park office located by the Ventura Marina.

One good source of RV campground reviews is RV Park Reviews. Some of the camping reviews include Emma Wood State Beach, Faria Beach Campground, Ventura Beach Resort, Camp Comfort, Lake Casitas.

Ocean Fishing – Lake Fishing

There are several ways to go about ocean fishing. One is surf fishing or fishing from the pier. Another is to go deep sea fishing. There are three main places to just that. Ventura Sport Fishing, Channel Islands Sport Fishing Center and Hook’s Landing.

There are two main lakes in Ventura County. Lake Casitas  and Lake Piru. Plus I have discovered there is a bass fishing guide available, Ojai Angler.

Camping Across America

One of the best things about living in California is how close the many opportunities to camp, surf, fish, hunt, trail ride, snow ski, water ski and much, much more are available to you within short driving distances. It has been said a person can snow ski, water ski and surf all in the same day here in Southern California. With just a little planning ahead of time I am sure that can happen.
